Collaborations

As an interdisciplinary scholar and writer, I thrive on collaborating with colleagues in different fields, from the natural sciences (botany, zoology, and ecology) to the study of cities as ecosystems (sustainability, urban ecology, and geography) to the environmental humanities (history, literature, and art). Here in the Chicago Region, I regularly work with scholars, educators, scientists, and writers from a variety of institutions and organizations — most notably, the Field Museum of Natural History and the Center for Humans and Nature, with whom I’ve worked on the Microplants and City Creatures projects, respectively.
