Illinois Dual Language Summit

Attend the statewide dual language summit at the University of Illinois at Chicago on Sat. June 8th, 2019 from 10:00-1:00.

Advance priority registration is open until May 3rd, 2019, to individuals who fill out this 10-minute online survey about the topics you’d like to see discussed:
After that date, we will open registration to anyone who wishes to attend. There is a cap of 100 people, which would be marvelous to reach.
The survey contains a brief description of the agenda, including information about our invited plenary speaker, Dr. Fabrice Jaumont. We will be raffling off 4 copies of his book The Bilingual Revolution.
The summit organizers are especially keen on inviting dual language programs that operate in languages other than Spanish.There will be three $25 gift cards raffled to individuals who travel more than 50 miles to attend.

The Dual Language Teacher Leadership program at Roosevelt University is hosting the inaugural Dual Language Symposium, an annual event for Dual Language educators across the Midwest.

The symposium is a way to bring all of our urban and suburban DL community together and support each other’s work as educators of language learners. Educators, researchers and advocates of dual language education will be presenting workshops, round tables, tips and resources throughout the day.
