Tour the New Laker Union

Video

Next time you visit the Wabash Building, take an elevator ride up to the third floor to experience the heart of campus.

The recently revamped Laker Union is a central hub where Roosevelt University students can meet up, hang out and study. On the third floor, Lakers can shoot some pool between classes or gather in the computer lab to collaborate on a group project. Down the hall, students can stop by the Office of Equity, Engagement and Equity to learn about ways to get involved.

The office also houses support services like the Food and Toiletry Pantry, for emergency essentials, and Career Closet, where students can pick up business casual clothes for interviews for internships.

With the rumble of the L outside the window, being the Laker Union feels like being the center of downtown Chicago. The comfortable space hopes to build a sense of community and belonging for all students. In this home away from home, commuter students can relax between courses, and where student organizations can plan events.
