The LaSalle Investment Management Scholarship

The goal of the LaSalle Investment Management Scholarship is to support diversity and excellence in the real estate industry.  It seeks to introduce, recruit, financially assist, and educate students about the opportunities and potential of a career in real estate, particularly real estate investment management.

Qualification & Application Requirements

The LaSalle Investment Management Scholarship is awarded through a competitive application process overseen by Roosevelt University’s Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate. The application process is open to Roosevelt University students across all colleges who meet the following criteria.

  1. Individual is enrolled as a full-time student and is in good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  2. Individual must be of sophomore standing or will be entering their sophomore year at the time of scholarship disbursement
  3. The individual identifies as African American or Hispanic
  4. The recipient shall display interest in learning more about the real estate investment management or commercial real estate industries
  5. Applications are currently being accepted.

Program Benefits

LaSalle Scholars will benefit from the program in three unique ways: financial assistance, professional programming, and mentorship.

Scholarship and Financial Assistance

Recipients will be awarded a $10,000 scholarship to be applied towards their educational expenses during their sophomore year at the university.

Professional Programming

During the scholarship year, LaSalle Scholars will be required to participate in Marshall Bennett Institute and LaSalle Investment Management activities.

Mentorship and Internships

LaSalle Scholars are expected to participate in the LaSalle Investment Management’s (LaSalle) mentoring program. The scholars will also attend industry professional events and meetings at the invitation of LaSalle.  Mentors will provide shadowing and exposure to the industry, as well as professional advice and interaction. A LaSalle Scholar is eligible to apply for LaSalle’s summer internship program for the summer between their sophomore and junior year.
