Welcome to the 2020 Research and Inquiry Orientation Week, held virtually September 21st through 25th. Follow the links below for schedule of presentations from Roosevelt faculty, staff and students. Learn about research & inquiry topics in your discipline, the nuts and bolts of getting started a project off the ground, tips for writing a proposal and resources to support you around campus. Take part in discussions about research with undergraduate and graduate students.

Joining the Office of Student Research will be faculty from the Humanities, Education, Finance, Communications/Marketing, Psychology, Math & Actuarial Science; and BPHS (Biological, Physical and Health Sciences). Staff from the Library and Career Development will provide presentations. Students from GRASP, CCPA, the Research Ambassadors will lead discussions.

While many Roosevelt students have taken an occasional course online, few are accustomed to a fully-online mode. Roosevelt PsyD student Victoria Limon made this transition when she began her master’s degree. She has drawn from her own experience, as well as gathering tips from student & faculty forums, to create a guide to help RU students making the transition.

 

Come join us on Wednesday, February 26th as the RU Research Ambassadors cover the steps leading up to presenting at conferences, as well as the professional etiquette that is expected of presenters. This student workshop will be held from 5-6:30pm in AUD 614.

Come join the RU Research Ambassadors on Monday, March 23rd as they talk about internship application guidelines and the process of applying. Students who are currently applying for summer or year-round internships are strongly encouraged to attend this informative student workshop.  This event will be held from 1-3pm in AUD 614.

Come join the RU Research Ambassadors on Wednesday, March 4th as they jump start the Spring season with research-related discussion and games. Snacks will be provided! This student workshop will be held from 2-3:30pm in AUD 309.
