Ep. 12: Black Student Equity Fund

George Floyd’s death at the hands of police officers is one in a list that is unimaginably long. His death was the spark that lit the fire of a global movement to dismantle systematic racism.

In this important episode of “And Justice for All,” President Ali welcomes special guests Pamela Thompson-Hill and Jamar Orr to talk about the Black Student Equity Fund. The fund is one step in Roosevelt’s efforts to truly live up to our mission of equity and access to education and to honor the Black lives taken by police brutality.

The group talks about how recent events have affected the students that they work with and how the fund will be used. Since the Equity Fund’s creation on June 10, Roosevelt’s generous supporters have raised over $54,000 to support Black students.
