Yesterday it was announced that Tania Castroverde Moskalenko, CEO of the Auditorium Theatre, will be resigning at the end of July to join Miami City Ballet as its Executive Director. Tania will remain on the theatre’s Board of Directors until a new CEO is in place.
The Auditorium Theatre has experienced a significant financial turnaround under Tania’s leadership and is projected to end fiscal year 2018 in August with a surplus. The creation of a programming department in January 2017 has led to a 20% increase in theatre utilization in just 16 months and is projected to increase again during the 2018-19 season.
Chief Financial Officer Rachel Freund will serve as Interim CEO while the Board of Directors conducts its search for an immediate permanent replacement.
