Jonathan Stutzman is an award-winning filmmaker and a picture book author. He has writing credits on Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Emmy-winning variety show HitRECord on tv (Pivot). Jonathan is a contributing writer to HitRECord’s best-selling collection the Tiny Book of Tiny Stories (Vol 1–3). He received his masters at Temple University for Film & Digital Media. He lives in Palmyra, Pennsylvania.

- Introduce the book by having the students describe a time when they were sad and someone did something to cheer them up.
- Go through the pictures and have students predict what happens next.
- Use this book to discuss boundaries and consent. Have the the students practice asking for hugs, and if someone doesn’t want a hug, discuss what other ways can you cheer people up.
