A Conversation with Alderman Stephanie Coleman

Over the past month, Black Lives Matter demonstrations have swept the nation as millions joined protests against police brutality and systemic racism. In this one-hour webinar, 16th Ward Alderman Stephanie Coleman will discuss the impact of recent events on our communities, our city and our nation.

Alderman Stephanie D. Coleman (BBA ’07) is the youngest African American member in the “herstory” of the Chicago City Council, representing the 16th Ward. Alderman Coleman has been the elected Democratic Committeeman of that ward since 2016, serving the community with distinction, and is the Democratic champion in registering the most voters in Cook County. Although known as the Daughter of Englewood, she serves Chicago Lawn, Gage Park and New City.

A strong proponent of education, Alderman Coleman graduated from Robert Morris University Illinois in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in management and business law, and matriculated to Spertus Institute for Jewish Leadership, graduating in 2014 with a master’s degree in nonprofit management.
