Sarah Maria Rutter

In her role, she innovates, develops, and executes programming initiatives and
curriculum, and teaches Honors courses. She also advises and mentors Honors students. She’s worked at RU for 5 years, and holds degrees in literature, history, and secondary education. Before working at RU, she was a university instructor in literature, composition, and education, and before that, she taught high school English. Sarah Maria’s research interests and academic training include critical theory and its influence on reading and writing, and on teaching and learning. In her spare time, she likes to crochet and cook, and read literary, romance, and literary romance novels. She regularly visits her family in Wisconsin, and lavishes love on her tiny dog, Rosie, and sizable cat, Fern.
