Doug Barrett  Manhattan, KS

Doug Barrett owner of 400 North Creative is an African American documentary photojournalist, and cinematographer internationally recognized based in Kansas who uses storying telling through photography and art.

Doug has multiple works in the permanent collection of the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art. Coming this year, Doug will have work displayed in the Mariana Kistler Beach Museum of art as the contemporary artist having a solo show with the Gordon Parks Exhibition.  

Doug attended St Augustine’s University and holds a B.S, as well as graduating from Southwestern College where he holds a M.S in Information Security Administration. Along with being a FAA Part 107-certified drone pilot Doug is a regular contributor to @everydayblackamerica, and @everydayruralamerica, and @everydayeverywhere. 

Doug’s editorial clients include National Geographic, TIME Magazine, Smithsonian MagazineWashington Post, Bloomberg News, and has been featured on the Nasdaq billboard in Times Square NYC, VICE, Foxnews, CNN and BBC Worlds News for his work.

His professional organizations include NPPA, ASMP, NABJ, and is on the board of advisor for the Friends of the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art.
