Dear Roosevelt Community,
As you know, the situation regarding COVID-19 continues to change daily with the number of known cases here and throughout world. As we continue to assess how we move forward, we are writing to regretfully announce the cancellation of the May 8th Commencement Ceremony.
Due to the expected continued disruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions of large events, it is in the best interest of our students and their families to make this decision. Students who complete their degree requirements this semester will still graduate. Degree conferral dates remain unchanged. This is only a cancellation of the commencement ceremony.
Graduating students have received a link to a survey via email today regarding the possibility of rescheduling the ceremony for a future date if government restrictions on large events are changed.
Please understand this was a very difficult decision and we must continue to look to the best course of action to protect the well being of our community.
