College of Pharmacy Donates Protective Equipment Amid Pandemic

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a national shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE), which is essential to protect health care workers, including pharmacists. To meet this critical need, the Roosevelt University College of Pharmacy donated supplies from their teaching lab to Mount Sinai Hospital on Tuesday, March 24. This donation included gloves, gowns, isopropyl alcohol and hand sanitizer. Continue reading

Confirmed Case COVID-19 at Schaumburg Campus

To the Roosevelt Community,

A student in the College of Pharmacy was diagnosed with COVID-19 today, March 26. This student was last on the Schaumburg campus on March 16 and 17. This is the first reported case at Roosevelt University. Known direct contacts have been notified and advised to self-quarantine. If you were on the Schaumburg campus those days, you may choose to self-quarantine until March 31. If you develop symptoms or are diagnosed with COVID-19, employees should notify Human Resources and students should notify the Dean of Students.

I am writing on behalf of all of us at Roosevelt University to let you know that we are thinking of you during this difficult, tumultuous time. Seventy-five years ago, Roosevelt University was founded on the belief that every student deserves equal access to higher education. Today our mission is of the utmost importance as we care for our students and the larger community. CORRECTION: Governor Pritzker Issues “Stay At Home” Mandate

This is to revise a previous version of this communication to specify which offices are open during the stay at home period and to clarify information regarding direct deposit and payroll. 

Dear Roosevelt Community,

Today at 3:00pm Governor Pritzker has issued a ‘Stay At Home’ order for Illinois residents effective Saturday, March 21 at 5pm.  Keep in mind, while this is a serious mandate to protect ourselves, families, friends, neighbors and fellow citizens, residents can still go to the grocery stores and pharmacies and put gas in their cars.  All local roads, including interstate highways and tollways will remain open to traffic.
