Documenting Field Experience Hours ( TK 20 Time Log)

Teacher candidates in all programs must document their field experience hours on the Time Log form available on Tk20, the online assessment management software. Teacher candidates enrolled in a field experience course** will submit their completed Time Logs to their cooperating teacher to verify and approve the hours. After obtaining the approval(s), candidates will export their Excel Time Log report and submit it to their Roosevelt instructor.

** MCTC Tutors will complete TK20 Time Log entries up to the total hours required for their field experience (FE1 – 25 hours, FE2-50 hours).  Tutors will submit their completed Time Log entries to MCTC’s Project Director for review and approval.  When the required FE hours are approved, no additional TK20 entries are needed.

NOTE:  Time Log is not required during the first field experience course in Secondary Education and during student teaching.  Instructors will provide guidance to teacher candidates about when to submit their logs for approval. All time logs must be submitted within the semester of the field experience and all required hours must be completed. Any student who does not complete their required hours cannot move on to the next FE course and will have to postpone their planned student teaching experience.
