About Me
I am a professor of English and the Interim Dean of CHESS, the newly-formed College of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at Roosevelt University. Originally from Louisville, KY, I moved to Chicago to complete my education, as so many RU students do. While I am a literature professor, Shakespearean-era drama is a specialty of mine, and I also serve as the Scholar in Residence at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. As an interdisciplinary scholar myself, I look forward to the many collaborations among programs that our new college will enable. CHESS sits at the heart of Roosevelt’s work as a social justice institution committed to educating students to think critically, communicate effectively, and act ethically.
