Free Music Conservatory Performances This Week

Tonight, Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m. in Ganz Hall, the CCPA String Orchestra presents a program including works by Mozart, Grieg and Bach, and featuring CCPA faculty member Heather Wittels (conductor and violin soloist) in Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto in C Major.

Thursday, Oct. 12 at 7:30 p.m. in Ganz Hall, the CCPA Chamber Orchestra and Conservatory Chorus join together to present a program led by Emanuele Andrizzi and Cheryl Frazes Hill which will include Vaughan Williams’ Serenade to Music. This concert will also showcase Student Solo Competition Winner Jessica Meaux (MM ’18), performing Frank Martin’s Ballade for Flute and Orchestra.

Thursday, Oct. 12, select piano students will be featured in Music@Grace, a new concert series collaboration between Grace Episcopal Church and Roosevelt University’s Music Conservatory. This recital begins at 7:30 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church located 637 S. Dearborn.
